Great value, worth it

I was looking for the best deal on solar and Current Home delivered. I took advantage of the federal solar tax credit and also got a good referral bonus from a friend. They were very clear about all the savings opportunities, including net metering. The initial quote was competitive, and the final price felt fair for the Home Solar Installation I received. It felt like a smart investment.

Absolutely fantastic experience!

Current Home is amazing! I just got a Tesla Powerwall and Solar Battery Storage installed in Orlando, and it's seriously the best decision I made. The team was so professional and efficient, they got everything set up perfectly. My energy bills are already lower, and knowing I have backup power for hurricane season is such a relief. I'm telling everyone I know about them, they're truly top-notch. I will definitely be using them again for any future solar needs!

Smooth Install, Good Support

I had Current Home install a Grid-Tied Solar System with Enphase Microinverters on my house in San Diego last month. The initial consultation was thorough; they walked me through the process and all the permits needed. The installation itself took about 3 days, which was pretty quick. They handled everything with the city permitting, which was a huge relief, I didn't have to lift a finger. After installation, I had a question about the energy monitoring system, and their support team was responsive, got back to me the same day. The panels are working well, seeing a noticeable drop in my electric bill already. The only minor hiccup was a slight delay in the final inspection due to a scheduling issue, but it was resolved quickly. Overall, a solid experience.

I'm trying to decide between Current Home and Sunrun. Any big differences or reasons to pick one over the other?

L Leah 3 days ago
I went with Current Home because their customer service felt more personal, and they were really clear about pricing. Sunrun seemed a bit more salesy to me.

Current Home installed a Tesla Powerwall for me, which Sunrun also does, but I liked Current Home's overall package better for the price. Hard to say without comparing quotes for your specific situation though.

What kind of warranty do they offer on the solar panels themselves? Like how many years are we talking?

H Hannah Scott 1 month ago
Pretty sure it's a 25-year warranty on the panels themselves, which is pretty standard for good quality ones.

Most solar companies, including Current Home I believe, offer a 25-year performance warranty on the panels. Some inverters might have a shorter one though, like 10-12 years.

Is the federal solar tax credit something Current Home helps you with, or do you have to figure that out with your accountant?

A Ashley B. 1 month ago
They definitely explain how it works and what you qualify for during the consultation, but the actual tax filing is on you or your tax person. They'll give you the info you need though.

B Brittany Lewis 1 month ago
They don't file it for you, but they make sure you understand the credit. It's a significant saving, so they go over it.

Do they offer any discounts for military? Or seniors? Trying to see if I can stack some savings.

A Amber Jackson 1 month ago
I know they have a military discount, saw it mentioned somewhere on their site or in an email. Not sure about senior discount though.

Yeah, I think they do military. Best to ask your sales rep directly when you get a quote, they'd know about all the current applicable discounts.

Anyone know if Current Home does zero down financing? Trying to avoid a big upfront cost.

J Jason W. 1 week ago
Yeah, they do. I got my system with zero down financing. They have a few options for that.

I think they offer it, or at least they did when I looked into them last year. Worth asking during the consultation.
